Last Saturday, the local community came together to support a very special cause – the Shoot-Out 4 Liam fundraiser in aid of Hope4Liam. With the combined efforts of 40 handballers and 40 racquetballers, the event proved to be a resounding success, raising an impressive total of €4,114 with additional donations still coming in.
The highlight of the day was an exhilarating exhibition game between Martin Mulkerrins and Killian Carroll, two renowned players in the handball community. Their skill and passion on the court captivated the packed gallery.
The success of the Shoot-Out 4 Liam fundraiser would not have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of numerous individuals and groups. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the competitors, organisers, referees, stewards, kitchen staff, bakers, photographers, cleaners, raffle sponsors, supporters, and donors who played a vital role in making this event a tremendous triumph.
The spirit of unity and community was truly palpable throughout the day. It was inspiring to witness everyone coming together. As the saying goes, “Ní neart go cur le chéile” – there is no strength without unity.
